SAFARI TOUR

Tsavo East

Tsavo East

Tsavo East National Park is the largest park in Kenya, covering an area of 13,747 km². It is famous for its large herds of red elephants, which love to wallow in the red dusty soil. But besides them, the park is home to zebras, antelopes, giraffes, ostriches, wild boars, lions, cheetahs, and many others. Tsavo East National Park is 120 km from Malindi and 200 km from Diani.

Tsavo West

Tsavo West National Park is smaller than Tsavo East—it covers an area of just 9,065 km² and is divided by the railway and highway from Nairobi to Mombasa. It is not as green as its larger neighbor. Under good conditions, you can see the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli

Amboseli is a park covering just 392 km², stretching along the border between Kenya and Tanzania. The local inhabitants are predominantly Maasai. It is known for its large elephant population and views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is only 40 km away. But elephants aren't the only attraction in the park. You can also spot antelopes, zebras, buffalo, gazelles, and of course cheetahs, lions, and hyenas.

As for birds, you can spot pelicans wading in the park's marshes and lakes.

Nakuru National Park

About 100 km from Nairobi lies Nakuru National Park, which covers an area of only about 188 km². It consists mainly of a lake that is home to tens of thousands of flamingos and other water birds. However, Nakuru National Park is also home to rare black and white rhinos, as well as Rothschild's giraffes.

Naivasha National Park

Not far from Lake Nakuru lies another, slightly smaller lake: Lake Naivasha. Here, tourists can take boat rides and spot hippos and antelopes grazing along the shore. You can combine a visit to Lake Naivasha with a visit to Hells Gate National Park, which is named for its intense geothermal activity. The spectacular scenery, including towering cliffs, water-eroded gorges, rock towers, extinct volcanoes, and the hiss of geothermal steam, makes it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.

Masai Mara

The most famous national park in all of Kenya is undoubtedly Masai Mara. It covers an area of 1,510 square kilometers. It lies on the border with Tanzania and seamlessly connects to the famous Serengeti National Park. Masai Mara guarantees that you will see the Big Five: elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. One of the biggest attractions of the Masai Mara is the wildlife migration. Every year, especially from July to November, 1.5 million animals pass through the reserve as part of the ungulate migration in search of food; these are mainly zebras, buffalo, and wildebeest.

Taita Hills

Taita Hills is a hilly reserve that is part of Tsavo West National Park.

Unique experiences - tours in Kenya

The Ruins of Gede

They lie about 70 km from Mombasa, near the resort town of Malindi. They are surrounded by dense jungle. The original town was founded around the 12th century. It was first inhabited by Swahilis, then by Arabs. It harbors an unsolved mystery: the inhabitants of Gede suddenly abandoned it for unknown reasons. No traces of battle were found; they left behind no objects, not even drawings. Nothing. The houses were single-story, and in the wealthier ones, a bidet was even found. The best-preserved structures are the entrance gate to the sultan's palace and several mosques, including the so-called Great Mosque. Today, the only permanent "residents" are monkeys, which you can feed.

Marafa Canyon

Also known as Hell's Kitchen, it is located in the town of Marafa, approximately 45 minutes from the town of Malindi. It is a magnificent sandstone canyon with colorfully layered ravines. The colors range from white, pink, orange, and crimson, making it a stunning sight, especially at sunset. The place earned the name Hell's Kitchen because temperatures here can climb as high as 50 °C during the day
